What are good symbols of mexico for a tattoo?

I am trying to design a tattoo that encompes my heritage. I am French, Scottish, Italian and Mexican. My design so far is an upside-down Fleur de Lys (france) with a crown of Laurels (italy) on top. I have some Ideas for Scotland, but none whatsoever for mexico. I want something that is obviously mexican but not flashy like an eagle or or just plain dumb like an aztec princess. Many thanks.
